UK mobile: the future is bright

A Franco-German alliance looks set to solve the UK mobile problem. The proposed 50-50 joint venture combining the British mobile operations of Deutsche Telekom and France Telecom will create a clear leader in this overcrowded market. The combination of FT’s Orange and DT’s T-Mobile, third and fourth players respectively in the market, will have 37% of UK mobile revenues.
