The aftermath of victory

The Democrats look to have won control of Congress. The mid-term US election produced a bigger than expected gain for the party. It has won about 30 seats in the House of Representatives and four in the Senate. If it wins the last two Senate seats it will control both chambers for the first time in 12 years.
