Usually when someone checks out of the Priory, it is a good news story - particularly when the person leaving is one of the private hospital group’s celebrity clients who has been successfully treated for their addictions. But news that three of the Priory’s top executives, including chief executive Chai Patel, have resigned sends a different signal. It raises fears that the Priory itself, acquired by Dutch bank ABN Amro in 2005, is itself in need of rehab.
