French bikes:: Velorution

In what is probably the best sign that a fad is becoming serious, at least two Parisian investment bankers rode city-sponsored bikes to the GdF-Suez merger press conference on Monday. Since it was launched in mid-July, the «Velib» phenomenon has taken the French capital by storm. The bulky but stylish grey-brown bike is this autumn’s fashion accessory.
