Bahn gone

Vodafone has accidentally triumphed at Arcor. The mobile operator has spent most of the last eight years trying to extricate itself from the German broadband operator, which it inherited as part of its acquisition of Mannesmann. But rows with minority partner Deutsche Bahn and the collapse of the telecoms IPO market scuppered its escape plan. Vodafone should be grateful they did. Sticking around has allowed Vodafone to buy out its minority partners for a song. It is paying E470m for Deutsche Bah...
