A rose by any other name would smell as sweet. What about an investment bank? Would it be a good idea for Joe Perella, one of the godfathers of the modern M&A business, to slap his surname on the new super-boutique he is founding with some partners? Or, indeed, for Peter Weinberg - the former boss of Goldman Sachs Europe and another co-founder - to pop his own surname on the bank too? Both ideas are apparently under consideration, though no decision has been taken.
